Barry Carus is a CLMC partner. Mr. Carus advises a diverse range of clients in mergers and acquisitions; business, healthcare, venture capital and real estate transactions; general corporate matters; corporate finance; succession planning and exit strategies; and shareholder and partnership buyout transactions. Mr. Carus also counsels clients on a wide range of commercial matters and agreements, including shareholder, limited liability company, partnership, and employment matters and agreements. Mr. Carus’ combined experience of having owned and managed his own business for many years and having acted as the primary attorney for clients on numerous complex legal matters throughout his legal career, enables him to provide clients with a unique blend of sophisticated and value driven legal and business advice. Mr. Carus has substantial experience serving as outside general counsel for many clients, including private equity backed companies. Mr. Carus provides clients with global representation in all phases of their business operations and on their business deals and transactions, including planning, due diligence, negotiating, drafting and consummating such deals and transactions. Mr. Carus also serves as the Trustee of a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Liquidating Trust.

Mr. Carus graduated, With Distinction, from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a Notes and Comments Editor of the Hofstra Labor Law Journal.

Mr. Carus is a member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations.
